Group ski lessons for children

We offer group classes for all levels

In our ski group lessons, children learn together and motivate each other. Our lessons are suitable for all ability levels – from the very first day on skis to carving turns and freestyle.

Using the SSBS Level Rider System, children progress step by step with clear learning goals.

Your Benefits

  • Maximum per group; 6 kids in the Aladin and Bonsai levels and 8 children in the higher levels
  • 2.5-hour lessons (9:30 am–12:00 pm) – 30 minutes longer than most ski schools
  • Bookable for 3, 4 or 5 half days
  • Course starts: Monday at 9:30 am

Ski Kids Level System

I’m very excited to try skiing for the very first time.

Getting used to skis - Gliding - Walking on skis - Snowplow position - Braking – Getting up

I’ve been on skis before; I can walk and ski straight down, but I can’t do the ‘pizza’ (plough) turn yet.

Gliding – Plough position – Braking – Walking uphill with skis on – Introduction to the children’s lift – First change of direction

I can already brake using the snowplough and sometimes even make a turn. But I’ve never been on a blue run before.

Safe braking – Safety on the children’s lift – First attempts at the snowplough – Skating stride – Introduction to blue runs – Introduction to riding the T-bar lift

I can ski down a simple blue run using the ‘pizza’ (plough) technique; I can make turns, but I’m not that fast yet.

Skiing safely on blue runs – Using the T-bar lift safely – First attempts at parallel turns – Shifting weight – Skiing with poles – Introduction to semi-parallel skiing

I can ski safely down all blue runs using the ‘pizza’ technique (plough) and, with the help of my ski instructor, I can even use the ski lift.

Skiing diagonally in parallel – Braking – Semi-parallel – First attempts at parallel skiing – First turns using the edges – Shifting weight on and off the skis

I can ski down all blue runs safely using the ‘pizza’ technique (plough) and feel confident even when the slope gets a bit steeper. I can also use the ski lift with the help of a ski instructor.

Semi-parallel – parallel skiing – confident skiing on blue runs – shifting weight in turns – introduction to carving – skiing on easy terrain

I can ski confidently on blue and red runs. I’m already starting to ski parallel between turns and can use the ski lift on my own. I use ski poles.

Introduction to carving – parallel turns with shifting weight – carving turns on blue runs – bumps and hollows – introduction to red runs – first on-piste tricks

I ski confidently on blue and red runs. I ski parallel between the turns, and on blue runs I almost always ski parallel. I can already brake a little whilst skiing parallel, and I’ve occasionally skidded sideways in a parallel position on blue runs.

Introduction to carving turns using weight transfer – First jumps – Introduction to short turns – Parallel turns with different radii – Skiing confidently on red runs – Bumps

On red runs, I always ski in parallel, but on black runs I sometimes still do the ‘pizza’ (plough) in the turns.

Carving turns with weight transfer – First switch runs – On-piste tricks – First jumps – Short turns on red runs – Performance on intermediate terrain

I ski on red runs and have also skied on black runs.

Short turns on steep terrain – Carving turns on moderate terrain – Carving with varying radii – 180° turns – Confident skiing on varied terrain – Introduction to off-piste skiing

I can ski down a black run using the parallel turn technique in a controlled manner and would like to learn how to carve on a red run.

Carving on red runs – short turns – tricks in the park/off-piste – 180° – carving turns on moderate terrain – dynamic skiing on varied terrain

I can ski safely on all slopes and would like to improve my carving, short-turn, deep-snow and jumping techniques.

Short turns – carving on red runs – deep-snow technique – tricks in the park/off-piste and on boxes – skiing safely on steep terrain – performance on any terrain

Techniques for steep terrain – Introduction to moguls – First freestyle jumps – Advanced on-piste tricks – Skiing safely on steep slopes

First carving turns – Carving with high weight transfer – Carving with low weight transfer – Safety considerations – Carving technique for steep terrain – Skiing with an extreme angle of lean
